As Theater of Mine evolves, I’m going to be introducing some new themed-posts that I’ll turn into regulars. Currently grooming some ideas, but here’s the first: “Scenes of Mine,” where I’ll post some of my favorite movie scenes for no other reasons than sheer randomness and an excuse to rewatch the shit that I love.
The jumpoff entry: A doomed female character suffering through one of the worsts night ever in Dario Argento’s ass-kicking Tenebre (1982). Last night on cable, I came across Argento’s latest, 2007’s Mother of Tears, a laughably-entertaining clusterfuck that shows the Italian horror legend’s fading skills at work. Just an awful film. Unlike Tenebre, though, which works on practically every level. Note the hammy English-voice-dubbing here, and be amazed by the world’s most bionic canine this side of Cujo [Scene after the jump]:
