Hot on the heels of my earlier “Adam Sandler as a ‘little man’ in Funny People” post, here’s a collection of the many fake films that Sandler’s character in Judd Apatow’s latest has “starred” in—-the shameless filmography of ‘George Simmons.’ What makes this not only funny but scary is that these all seem like should’ve-been-aborted box office hits that Hollywood could realistically greenlight. ‘Tis the point, of course.
Over at /Film, they’ve put together an all-encompassing compilation of the films’ plot descriptions, along with the fictional years of release. Since /Film is a great worthy of your attention, and it’d be unnecessary biting to write the plots here, I’m just going to link you right over to their post, which also includes scenes from a few of the fakes. Check out the amazing Ken Jeung in the Sayonara Davey! clip, once again making overboard Asian stereotypes harmlessly laughable.
