…..the new Sandra Bullock derailment is currently at 2% on Rotten Tomatoes, making a steady climb upward after being stuck on a robust 0% for its first 40 some-odd reviews. That’s awesome.
That poster is the film’s harbinger of doom, obviously. Horrendous.
Normally I wouldn’t even waste time typing about this one, but achieving a flatlining 0% for 40 nationwide reviews is something I can’t look past. That’s almost as hard as pulling off 100%, if you think about it; with all of the random bloggers clocked into Rotten Tomatoes, as well as terrible vets such as Armond White and Rex Reed, there’s plenty of room for misguided opinions on any film, prestige or puke. All About Steve somewhat foiled my plan of broadcasting its un-loved misery by grabbing that sole positive review out of its current 50, but whatever.
I’m sure Bradley Cooper can give two shits about this, since he made this cinematic wreckage before The Hangover—–it’s the same idea as Anne Hathaway’s yes-it-actually-exists Passengers being released on the heels of Rachel Getting Married. The difference is, I’ll actually suffer through Passengers at some point in my life’s remainder.
Lastly….is Ken Jeong in every comedy now? The guy is funny and welcome, but to a point. He’s dangerously close to overkill/saturation and the majority of filmgoers don’t even know his name yet. [After the jump, a bonus All About Steve-related pic]
So I typed “All About Steve” into a Google image search, and this was one of the first pics that came up:
Well done, Steve-O. Well done.
